The Paralegal – Legal and Compliance will directly report to the company’s Director of the Legal and Compliance Department (“Director”). The work environment is remote. The Paralegal is a member of Woundtech’s Legal and Compliance Department. The Paralegal will assist in the organization, review, filing and maintenance of the corporation’s administrative documents, costumer and vendor contracts, and other various correspondence. This position requires solid organizational and technical skills with great follow through. Primary Responsibilities:
1. Works remote and assists with general office tasks and provide onsite office assistance as required and needed, including,
2. Prepares communication, such as memoranda, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence.
3. Answers incoming calls to the Legal and Compliance Department and directs calls to appropriate individuals and team members.
4. Coordinates incoming and outgoing mail and overnight deliveries (i.e., packages) to and from the Legal and Compliance Department by sorting and distributing deliveries through email, telephone or electronic fax.
5. Involved in procurement and ordering of various office supplies, with the assistance of the onsite Office Coordinator.
6. Receives, logs and processes Medical Record Requests for the Release of Information.
7. Tracks corporate assets including computers and related hardware and manages printing services, as needed.
8. Schedules and organizes complex activities such as internal and external meetings through Teams and Microsoft Outlook, booking travel and lodging for appropriate personnel in Legal and Compliance Department through the company travel agent, ordering meals for various meetings and conferences, and other department activities for members of the Legal and Compliance Department, or other designees.
9. Performs daily administrative and clerical responsibilities related to customer and vendor contracting and takes lead on or assists Legal and Compliance Department with special projects related to customer and vendor contracts.
10. Reviews contract requests with Director for new and existing customers for accuracy, including any supporting documentation.
11. Prepares and drafts contracts and amendments based on templates from action requests by Director and tracks the execution of approved contract requests.
12. Manages and maintains all files and records related to the resulting contract relationship between a customer or vendor and Woundtech.
13. Performs legal research.
14. Handles confidential and non-routine information when necessary and as required within the Legal and Compliance Department.
15. Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside contacts including high level staff such as the Executive Leadership Team and members of the Board of Directors.
16. Maintains effective communication and good relationships with all company employees, customers, vendors, and key outside personnel.
17. Various other duties as may be assigned by members of the Legal and Compliance Department including the Chief General Counsel. 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
1. High School Diploma required. AAS degree in related field preferred.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years of legal secretary/paralegal experience preferred.
3. Proficient experience in all aspects of PC utilization including MS office.
4. Demonstrates an uncompromising level of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical behavior.

6. Ability to work independently.

Key Relationships, Travel, and Workday:
1. Directly work with Director and collaborate with other members of the Legal and Compliance Department and Executive Leadership Team.
2. Interacts regularly with employees, contractors/consultants, clients/customers, vendors/partners, and community members.
3. The workday will consist of at least eight (8) working hours within Eastern Time Zone within the United States between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (may be earlier or later and subject to change at any time), Monday through Friday. The position requires willingness to occasionally work a flexible schedule beyond stated times.

Essential Functions:
1. Physical Requirements: Extended periods of time typing, data entry, sitting, reading, writing, lifting up to 20 pounds.
2. Mental Requirements include: General, Visual, and Numerical Intelligence. Analytical skills.
3. This is currently a remote (telework from home) position, therefore, the following minimum requirements must be available in their home internet network, including a router that:
a. Must achieve minimum speeds of 100MBPS for download and 10MBPS for upload, or any other higher speed required for the work to be produced contingent upon your role.
b. Availability of at least two (2) Ethernet connections in the router to the internet source is required (for your PC and phone).
c. Workstation should be plugged directly into the router as a hardwire connection to high speed internet is critical to maintaining approved speeds for optimal functioning of various operational hardware, software and tools, as required for work performance; an appropriate Wi-Fi connection may satisfy this connection to high speed internet.
d. Router should be updated regularly with latest firmware, or ultimately replaced if router speeds are not within the minimum specifications above.
